Zaytoun CIC was founded in 2004 by Heather Masoud, Cathi Pawson, Atif Choudhury and Saleh Achhala, following their work with Palestinian farmers who had lost there olive oil export markets since the intifada. |
Palestine is the home of the olive tree, with some of the oldest olive groves in the world, some dating as far back as 1500 to 2000 years. The olive trees produce fruit that supports over half the population and dominate the agricultural landscape. | ![]() Where in the world in Palestine? |

The Mediterranean climate, rich fertile soil and use of organic traditional farming methods, makes Zaytoun’s Palestinian olive oil a world outstanding product. Zaytoun’s main challenge is to find a market place for Palestinian produce in the UK. We cannot do this without the support of our hundreds of distributors across the country. For more information about Zaytoun, their products, tree planting and other activities see their website www.zaytoun.org |
