Palm oil is used in many of the products we eat and use around the house,When you choose Clean & Fair, you’re investing in the future of fair trade palm oil and coconut oil from communities in Ghana and rural India.

A hundred years ago palm oil was one of West Africa’s biggest exports, a major source of income for farmers. As demand rose, huge plantations were developed in the Far East to produce cheaper palm oil.

The environment suffers because of these large plantations which often replace vast areas of rainforest, and the habitats of endangered species.
