Fair Do’s Staff
Shop Manager: Jan Tucker
Jan is the Executive Director of Fair Do’s and is the legal owner of the shop along with her husband Rob. Jan was actually the seventh representative to sign up with Traidcraft back in 1979. For a number of years she was Traidcraft’s Wales Representative and ran the Regional Stockbase for them.
Jan opened Fair Do’s in 1997 and in 1998, Fair Do’s moved to it’s current location in Canton. The shop has gone from strength to strength, becoming a limited company in 2002.
You can find Jan in the shop three days a week. She also serves on the Wales Fair Trade Forum and has been heavily involved in the campaign to enable Wales to achieve Fair Trade Country Status.
Assistant Shop Manager: Trish Paterson
Trish is our assistant manager. She is in the shop for three days a week and refuses to have her photo taken.
Director: Ruth Poole
Ruth has been on our board of Directors since 2002. She also works at the shop for one day a week, and also volunteers with us for a half a day week.
Company Secretary: Alison Hill
In addition to her role as Company Secretary, Alison works in the shop most Saturdays and has the tricky task of keeping Trish out of mischief!
Shop Assistant: Cathy Matthias
Cathy has been involved with Fair Do’s since 1996, but has only recently been employed to work in the shop. She works 2 or 3 days a week. Cathy is also a freelance designer and two of her wrapping paper designs appear in the 2007 Traidcraft catalogue.
Director: Jon Matthias
Jon has been involved with Fair Do’s since 1996 and has been an unpaid Company Director since 2002. He has also served on the board of the British Association of Fair Trade Shops.
