Fashion Show tickets now on sale!

Fair Do’s annual fashion extravaganza takes place at The Gate Arts Centre, Keppoch Street, Roath, Cardiff on Saturday 3 May 2008.

This year, we’re joined by special guest Emma Triplett, founder of Hatti Trading. Emma will be talking about how her business enables women and children to escape lives of exploitation, abuse and cruelty.

Tickets for the fashion show are available now from the shop, or phone (029) 2022 2066. Tickets cost £5 (£3 concession) and include a glass of fairly traded wine or fuit juice. We’ve sold out of tickets every year, so we’d advise you to buy yours soon to avoid disappointment.

Christmas Opening Hours

We are open as usual up until Saturday 22 December - so if you need to come in for your Christmas shopping, you need to do so by then.
We will not be open on Monday 24 December (Christmas Eve). The next time the shop will be open is from 10am on Wednesday 2 January 2008.

In the meantime, we would like to wish you a very happy Christmas, and an exceptional New Year. On behalf of all the communities we trade with, thank you for your support in 2007. You have helped to change the world this year and we look forward to seeing you next year!

In the run up to Christmas - you and your friends can book an evening at Fair Do’s to do your Christmas shopping together as a group, at a time which suits you. You can also enjoy fairly traded tea, coffee and nibbles while you buy!

It’s the perfect evening for WI’s, Mother’s Unions, church and faith groups, and other social groups who want to buy fair trade this Christmas.

Fair Trade Fashion Rocks

Spring has sprung in Cardiff and that can only mean one thing – the annual Fair Do’s Fair Trade Fashion Show!

For the past 6 years we’ve enjoyed sell-out nights of Fashion Fun at Chapter Arts Centre in Canton, so this year we’re moving somewhere with a bit more room. We will be guests at The Gate Arts Centre in Keppoch Street, Roath for one ‘bigger-than-ever’ night on Saturday 5 May! The round arena will seat more in one evening than we could seat in two evenings at Chapter – so prepare for a fair trade extravaganza.

Our local models will show-off clothes from producers all over the world. Showcasing many different styles of clothes and accessories for any occasion all with the common thread of fair trade. Fair trade isn’t just for the ladies though, with children’s and men’s clothes also on display.

During the show we will also take part in the Global Journey, which has promoted fair trade around the world, and we hope to be joined by a very special guest as well!

Make sure you book your tickets early to avoid the disappointment of missing out on one of the highlights of the year in Cardiff.
